First ever colouring book pages!

I’m very excited to share my first ever colouring book pages! Which were made as a final addition to the Women in Rail Station Artwork Project for Transwilts, an ongoing project since early 2023! I contributed 6 pages made up from outlined versions of some of the illustrations I made prior, to be printed and displayed in different train stations. A full overiw of the project can be found here.

The colouring book also includes contributing pages from another artist involved in the project, Samuel Lincup! The books have been distributed across local schools in Wiltshire for student to enjoy whilst being educated about the project too! If interested in getting your hands on one, I do have a very limited number of copies for sale, link to shop.

After receiving my copies of the colouring book, it prompted me to reflect on the project as a whole. This is likely to be one of my most enjoyable and rewarding projects in recent years. Not only did it surround a topic very important to me, but also allowed almost total creative freedom, and consequently reminded me what I’m capable of! I’m very grateful that after each addition, the client came back for more, allowing me to create an in depth narrative.

As someone very particular about colour within my work, the thought of creating colourless images was never that appealing, however in this circumstance it’s a great addition to project that continues to push engagement with local people. I’m excited to hear what people think of my contributing pages. If I hear I positive responses, I’m sure I’d be keen to make more colouring book pages in the future!

Playing cards restock

In the last few months, my playing cards have been really popular, which is absolutely incredible, as this project is, and probably always will be, my favourite thing I’ve ever made! 🃏
A restock of these unfortunately comes with high and painful upfront cost, which I just had to shell out… However, it also means there’s 200 of these packs already out in the wild, which is INSANE!! I feel so touched each and every time a pack of these are bought 🥹🥹🥹

Thank you so much to anyone and everyone who’s bought a pack of my Animal Kingdom playing cards, and anyone yet to get theirs, they are now back in stock! 🫶🏻 Shop here

Misty Mountains Shower

Last week I finished another illustration within my person project travel series, capturing a rugged shower scene from a campsite in Misty Mountains, Kunghur.

Although as a lone illustration, it’s not the most stand-out piece, it now makes the 7th completed illustration with the collection, and when placed all together, it feels like the grand ideas in my head are starting to assemble! And despite still having plenty more I want to create to fill the gaps, I’ve made a new page on my website collating what I have so far, an also bringing together a couple older illustrations from a trip to Brazil that I feel didn’t get their opportunity to shine. Check it out here!

New prints and a BIG SALE to make room for more

I recently added two new print designs to my shop and market stock selection, two of my illustrations from my on going travel collection capturing moments of storytelling from exploring Australia and Bali for 7 weeks.

I choose to release these two because, despite it being a personal project capturing my own memories, I felt the scenes amongst these illustrations, were very relatable, and hopefully more desirable as a print! And after having them available to the public for a short while, I’ve received plenty of reassurance that this is the case!

I have really loved sharing my new prints with everyone at my recent market stalls, adding what felt like to me, some much needed variety to my set up, as I’ve personally grown a little bored my own products! I had a few people comment on how amazing my colour palettes were, which is my favourite kind of compliment because colour has always been incredibly important to me, so I’m super glad that my efforts have paid off and this is translated to my audience!

This is however, the last market set up photo you’ll see from me for a while as I’m taking a break off markets during the spring/summer to return in September with a few new products and a little refresh of my display. I have a fair few commitments during the next few months meaning I can’t attend many markets, and I feel this is a perfect excuse to spruce up my market set up, and focus on other areas of my creative work.

Until I restart markets in September, I’m running a huge sale on my website to try and reduce some of the excess stock I have printed, so please check it out and help me with my spring clean! 🧼
